中国北京国际美术双年展自2003年创办以来，便不断收到各国参展艺术家无偿自愿捐赠的入选作品，前八届已累积接受世界86个国家600多位入选艺术家的绘画和雕塑等捐赠作品682件。本届北京双年展，自愿捐赠的国内外作品更是多达137件，创历年之最，一举使组委会历届藏品数量突破800件，涉及国家达到五大洲92个。
Since its initiation in 2003, the Beijing Biennale has received donations from participating artists around the world. Its previous eight editions have received a total of 682 artworks, including paintings and sculptures, by more than 600 artists from 86 countries. The 9th Beijing Biennale has seen 137 donated Chinese and international artworks, reaching a record high and bringing the total number of donated artworks to more than 800 and that of relevant countries to 92 across five continents.
北京双年展藏品作为国内规模最大、质量最高、品类最丰富的国际当代美术品收藏，为国家和民族积累了一笔宝贵财富，体现了各国艺术家对中国的热爱和友好，对展览主办方的感谢和对展览的认同，也是北京双年展在国际艺术界巨大影响力的体现。
The Beijing Biennale boasts the largest and most diverse collection of international contemporary artworks with the highest quality in China, accumulating art treasures for the country and the nation. The exhibition also showcases the love and amity of artists from various countries to China, their appreciation to the organizers and their recognition to the exhibition per se, evidencing the Beijing Biennale’s influence on global art circles.
为充分发挥珍贵藏品的艺术价值和社会影响力，中国美协依托主办的北京双年展、中国美术世界行、“互绘•相知”等国际艺术交流项目，基于历届北京双年展藏品策划了多个主题性学术展览，在丹麦、秘鲁、意大利、英国、希腊、西班牙、巴西、南非、俄罗斯等十余个国家成功举办专题巡展，成果丰硕。国内分别在山东、辽宁、福建、甘肃、江苏、上海等省市多次巡展，丰富了各地人民精神文化生活。目前第九届北京双年展捐赠作品，已有山东、四川、江苏等多地美术馆主动商洽藏品巡展事宜。
To give full play to the artistic value and social influence of the collected art treasures, the China Artists Association has designed multiple academic theme exhibitions and organized special exhibitions in more than 10 countries including Denmark, Peru, Italy, the United Kingdom, Greece, Spain, Brazil, South Africa and Russia on the basis of its international art exchange programs including the Beijing Biennale, the Chinese Art’s Trip to the World and the special art exhibition themed “Paint One Another, Know One Another”. These artworks have also toured Shanghai and many other cities in Shandong, Liaoning, Fujian, Gansu and Jiangsu Provinces, enriching people’s cultural lives. At present, art galleries in Shandong, Sichuan, Jiangsu and many other provinces are discussing exhibitions of the 9th Beijing Biennale donated artworks.
