On July 31st, 2014, at the invitation of cultural counsellor of the Embassy of Gabon Mr PAMBOU, the vice general Secretary Tao Qin visited the secretary and had a talk with her.
First of all, the vice General Secretary Tao Qin introduced the characteristic, the theme of the next session, the participating modes and so on. The Republic of Gabon is located in the west coast of Central Region of Africa with profound cultural and artistic heritage. Beijing Biennale has already held 5 sessions, but there are no participating artists from Gabon. Through the visit, we hope that with the efforts in common of China Artists Association and the Embassy, Gabonese artists who represent the level of their country could create excellent works for the future Beijing Biennale, and make the international art domain of Beijing Biennale more and more extensive.
Mr PAMBOU proposes us to send a letter to their Cultural Ministry and he will transfer the letter to his country for consideration.
