On September 17^th 2014, Vice General Secretary of China Artists Association Ms. Tao Qin paid a visit to Indonesian Embassy in China and talked with Mr. Santo Darmosumarto, First Secretary for Social and Cultural Affairs of Indonesian Embassy for Indonesia’s participation in the 6^th Beijing International Art Biennale

Artists from Indonesia took part in every session since the second Beijing Biennale in 2005. The 6^th Beijing Biennale themed Memory and Dream will be held in 2015 when is coincided with the 65^th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia and the 60^th anniversary of convocation of the Asian-African conference. Both sides hope to take this as an opportunity to show first-class art works from all over the world including Indonesia’s for domestic and overseas visitors and make Beijing Biennale a cultural feast for all the artists.

Mr. Santo Darmosumarto takes great interest in art and attaches great importance to the cooperation with China Artists association. After Vice General Secretary Ms. Tao Qin elaborated on international transportation of art works, types of works, theme of next exhibition and Indonesia’s participation in previous sessions, Mr. Santo Darmosumarto expressed that he would contact with cultural organizations and institutes of art in Indonesia for more recommendation of first-class artists to take part in the 6^th Beijing International Art Biennale. He also hopes that Indonesia will increase its influence in art through the platform of Beijing Biennale and conduct artistic exchange and dialogue with international community.
