Pink Moonlit Night / 2014 / oil on canvas / 70cm×110cm

Appreciation: Cornflower is the lucky flower. Russian girls like to use cornflower to divine love, marriage, and destiny. The oil painting, Pink Moonlit Night, by Russian artist Shvederskaya Olga, depicts a bright girl holding a valuable purple cornflower and divining her unpredictable future. Dressing in the sheer white dress, she awaits her next charming prince in the moonlit maze-like environment. The composition and character modeling inherit the Russian Orthodox painting and folk tradition in religious holy and simple civil style.(Wang Yong)

Shvederskaya Olga was born in 1962 in Saint Petersburg, Russia and graduated from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts. And now he is a painter. He participated in various exhibitions held in Strasbourg, France, St Petersburg, Russia and many other places.
